Van Leeuwen ice cream truck

It's certainly been ice cream weather around New York this week. On Friday's Good Day New York we were paid a visit by a Van Leeuwen ice cream truck. The are consistently rated tops in New York City. The yellow trucks have been around for seven years and all of the ice cream is made in Greenpoint, Brooklyn.

The auto industry has packed nearly 1,000 automobiles into the Jacob Javits Center on Manhattan's West Side for the 2014 NY Auto Show.   Among the 'must-sees' is a hydrogen-powered vehicle and a prototype with cameras that allow you to see the ground underneath as you drive over it.

    “I was supposed to be dead before last Easter," said Valerie Harper about her diagnosis of cancer in the lining around her brain.  Harper's indomitable spirit and the support from fans of her character 'Rhoda' in the 1970s hit series 'The Mary Tyler Moore Show' has kept her going. "It’s a tasty headline," said Harper about the magazine where the inaccurate report was made.
