MESA, Ariz. -

Three suspects, two of which are in the US illegally, were arrested for allegedly running a retail theft ring in Chandler and Mesa.

Police say 29-year-old Maria Guzman, 32-year-old Manolia Guzman and 46-year-old Roman Dominguez were involved with a fencing operation, which is when someone takes in stolen items and then sells them at a discounted rate.

The trio allegedly requested items like diapers, electronics, clothing, purses, household products and more.

Police say thieves would then commit large, organized thefts at Fry's Food Stores and then bring the stolen items to the "fence" to be sold for less than their retail price.

Investigators say products were being sold at two homes in Mesa.

Fry's Food Stores worked with Chandler Police to give undercover officers items to sell to the "fence" and search warrants were served afterward.

The alleged thefts cost Fry's about $7,000.

All three suspects were taken into custody for trafficking in stolen property.

Maria Guzman and Manolia Guzman were held for U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement after admitting to investigators they were illegally in the US and had purchased fake identification cards and social security cards.
