Police are asking for the public's help as they search for the driver who hit and killed a man in the east valley and took off.
It happened just before 7 p.m. in the area of Sossamon and Ray.
Authorities say the 68-year-old victim was riding a bicycle.
The suspect vehicle is described as a white sport utility vehicle, likely with front end damage. It is possibly a Saturn Vue, according to Mesa Police Sgt. Tony Landato.
"It'll be damaged on the passenger's side.. possibly damage to one of the lights.. any other indication could be blue paint transfer from the bicycle or any other type of damage to the passenger's side," said Sgt. Sean Kelly.
Eastbound Ray Road was closed between Ellsworth and Sossamon during the investigation.
