- Close to 100 of Metro Atlanta's top medical professionals and organizations volunteer their time and expertise to provide FREE exams at this annual event.

 - This event literally saves lives. In fact, last year, with the help of Grady Health System, 3 individuals had stroke-level blood pressure readings and were rushed to local hospitals.

 - Come out and hear from leaders of the Obama Administration discussing the Affordable Care Act and its imminent implementation. Learn how people with preexisting conditions can obtain affordable health coverage with enrollment beginning this October & coverage in January 2014.

 - The Department of Veterans Affairs has also confirmed to share resources and health screenings with veterans in my district. There will be free blood pressure and glucose (diabetes) screenings for veterans and information on the VA Medical Center's various programs, including mental health, benefit information, women's programs and more.

 - Be sure to bring your whole family and visit the Colgate Bright Smiles Bright Futures mobile unit, where up to 2,000 free dental exams will be offered to children.  There will be several other mobile units in attendance, providing other screenings and health resources. Other screenings for children include asthma, flu shots, vision, and fitness.
