Vince Fumo Under Strict Orders To Not Address Media

Posted: Updated:

Former State Senator Vince Fumo is out of jail and back in Philadelphia.  Fumo checked into a halfway house, but left a short time later.

He reportedly went to his home in Fairmount.

Fox 29's Stephanie Esposito reported during Good Day outside of his home, waiting to see if Fumo was there.

She observed that the shutters were closed.  There were several balloons in the front entrance area of the mansion, but no sign of Fumo.

So, the big question is: Why does it matter that he's here?

Fumo was only supposed to leave the halfway house for work, medical visits, and to meet with his lawyer.

Fumo's lawyer, Dennis Cogan, refused comment yesterday.

Fumo will be working in his lawyer's office for $10-an-hour answering phones and doing research.

The 70-year-old former lawmaker was convicted of 139 counts of conspiracy and defrauding the state and two local community groups of millions of dollars.
