GWINETT COUNTY, Ga. -

A man was taken into police custody on Sunday after a standoff with police.

A spokesperson for the Gwinnett County Police Department tells FOX 5 News that Eugene Clemons surrendered around 5:30 p.m. Sunday after hours of negotiations with officials.  Police were called out to the Autumn Trace townhomes off Peachtree Corners Circle in Gwinnett County Sunday afternoon after a domestic dispute escaladed.

Police say Clemons barricaded himself inside the apartment and refused to come out. They called out the SWAT team as a precaution. He eventually came out without further incident.

He will be charged with Simple Battery and Pointing a Pistol at another. Additional charges are also pending.

No one was hurt during the incident.
