Detroit Dog Rescue to host golf outing, adoption event

GROSSE POINTE WOODS, Mich. (WJBK) -

Detroit Dog Rescue is hosting its second annual fundraising golf outing Monday, July 22.

The Rounds Fore Rescue event will raise money for a no-kill rescue center. Detroit Dog Rescue is hoping to save the more than 50,000 homeless dogs roaming Detroit.

The golf outing will start at 1 p.m. at the Lochmoor Club in Grosse Point Woods. It will be followed by a dinner at 5:30 p.m.

Detroit Dog Rescue will also be hosting an adoption event on Saturday, July 20. Luna, the terrier mix featured on Fox 2, and her siblings will be available for adoption at the Roseville Petco store from 12 p.m to 3 p.m.
