Four Killed After Being Struck By Car, Family And Friends Speak

Police just named the two individuals who they have arrested and suspect were drag racing. Khusen Akhmedov was the driver of the Audi, and Ahmen Holloman was driving the second car. Khusen was the one that police suspect struck the family. Police have charged them with third degree murder, involuntary manslaughter, and homicide by vehicle. They expect to be arraigned within the next twenty-four hours.

A small memorial has been started at the location where a mother and three of her four babies lost their lives last night. It happened in the Southbound Lanes at Boulevard and 2nd Ave. Relatives says the family was walking home from their grandmother's house.

"There's no words to describe losing your daughter and three grandchildren," says Walter Holmes.

There are no words but an abundance of tears being shed for 28 year old Samara Selina Banks and her three sons. Samara and her four boys were crossing the Southbound Lanes of the Boulevard at 2nd St., coming home from her grandmothers house around 10:30 p.m. last night when they were hit.

The vehicle is a 2012 Audi operated by 22 year old male. The driver stayed at the scene and consented to a blood test. But witnesses say the car was going extremely fast, giving Samara little time to react.

"If anything, she would have threw her kids and let herself get hit but she didn't have enough time. She didn't have enough time," says Tyiesha Marshall, a witness.

Samara and her 23 month old son died at the scene. Her nine month old son died at Einstein Medical Center. And her four year old died hours later from his injuries.

"I'm hurt. I'm at a loss...this was my best friend. I love those kids like they were my own." says Marshall, who was also godmother to the 23 month old.

The oldest boy, age five, is the only survivor.

"He's very quiet right now because he's bright and he knows what's going on," says Holmes. "I miss her so much and my God sons so much."

Philadelphia police spent hours last night collecting evidence.
