But finding work -- especially a dream job -- remains tough for those just graduating. Many are settling for jobs outside their fields of study or for less pay than they'd expected or hoped for.

A NYPD plan intended to better connect with the community seems to have backfired a bit. The police department asked its twitter followers to share pictures of themselves with New York City police officers using the hashtag "myNYPD." Some did share nice pictures, but others not so much. Some of the first pictures posted showed regular citizens standing with very friendly looking police officers.

ARCADIA, Calif. -

Age isn't stopping this 99-year-old man -- he's still happily employed!

His name is Ted Dinunzio and he's the only greeter employed by Nordstrom.

Dinunzio retired from being a meat cutter in the 1980s the help his wife who was suffering from cancer.

After she passed away, Dinunzio realized he needed a way to stay connected.

So after the Westfield Santa Anita Mall opened in 1994, it didn't take long before Dinunzio was hired.

"They say, 'Can you help me?' I say, 'By all means, that's what I'm here for."

"When you get old, you gotta keep moving around. You can't just sit down and watch TV," he said.  "Be nice to people, so they can come back."

Dinunzio turns 100 this December 30.
