PHOENIX (AP) - Gasoline prices at the pump around Arizona are down slightly this week, but analysts say higher prices are coming.
Officials with AAA Arizona said Thursday that the average statewide price for unleaded regular gasoline is at $3.45 a gallon. That's down by a penny from last week.
This week's national average is at $3.51 per gallon, up by more than 4 cents from last week.
Analysts say higher prices are coming with crude oil now exceeding $100 per barrel for the first time since May.
Tucson has the lowest average gasoline price in Arizona at $3.23 a gallon while Flagstaff has the highest at $3.69.
South Carolina has the lowest average gas prices in the continental U.S. at $3.19 a gallon with California having the highest at $3.98 a gallon.
