Clashes In Streets After Ouster Of Egypt's President Morsi

Posted: Updated:
WASHINGTON, D.C. -

The chief justice of Egypt's Supreme Constitutional Court has been sworn in as the interim president, following a massive uprising that led to the ouster of President Mohammed Morsi by the country's military.

The protesters who have toppled yet another government celebrate for now after ushering in a second Egyptian revolution in less than three years.

Morsi, the country's first democratically-elected president is out, reported to be under house arrest, after a deadline issued by the country's powerful military for Morsi to reach an agreement with protest groups ran out.

Back in Washington, the White House released a photo of President Barack Obama in the situation room discussing the possible fallout, but his options may be limited.

Outside the White House, supporters of the revolution accused the administration of backing the wrong guy, well aware that $1.5 billion in U.S. military aid may be hanging in the balance.

Fox's Doug Luzader has more details in this video report from Washington, D.C.

    NICE EASTER WEEKEND

The first half of the holiday weekend has been great and Easter Sunday looks just as nice. Clouds thin out late tonight with temperatures falling back to the 40s.

Initially it'll be jacket weather early Sunday morning but plenty of sunshine will warm us into the 60s by afternoon.  High temperatures will be a few degrees cooler than Saturday.

It will be noticeably cooler and breezy at the shore with highs in the low 50s.  Quiet conditions continue into Monday.
