    Sad news has surfaced for former Phillies catcher Darren Daulton. The public learned Thursday that the leader of the 1993 pennant-winning Phils has two brain tumors.

Popular former Phillies catcher Darren Daulton is preparing for surgery Monday for two brain tumors.

We learned late last week about Dutch's health scare.News of the tumors broke on 97.5 "The Fanatic," where Daulton hosts his radio show.

According to the station, the 51-year-old had not been feeling well for two weeks and was having trouble speaking.

"Darren is having surgery today. As soon as we receive further information we will pass it on," the radio station said in a statement Monday. "In the meantime, continue to keep Darren and his family in your thoughts and prayers. The support for Darren from everyone has been outstanding."
