Hundreds flock to water parks to escape the heat

GLENDALE, Ariz. -

Some folks looking to cool off Friday flocked to area water parks.

There's no doubt about it -- it is hot.

So what better place to cool down than at the Wet 'n Wild Water park?

Hundreds flocked to the popular water park to escape the triple digits -- lines of kids and adults at the different attractions.

"It's really just a normal day for us -- a typical day for us we have people that come in the morning to beat the heat and then people come at 5 when the sun goes down when it's not as warm," said Wet 'n Wild's Trevor Wilson.

With this just being the first of many hot days to come, those at Wet 'n Wild are preparing for a crowded summer.

"It's really a destination for the entire family from the moms to the really young kids to the teenagers.. there's something for everybody," said Wilson.
