CAMP VERDE, Ariz. -

WARNING: Disturbing content

It's a story that has rocked a small northern Arizona town about 100 miles north of the valley.

A man is accused of murdering and then dismembering the victim --  and the details are pretty hard to believe.

The details are disturbing and the motive appears to be revenge.

Camp Verde -- a town of about 10,000, doesn't see crime like this very often.

"I am stunned.  I am really stunned," said Mayor Charlie German.

The Mayor and the rest of the town are now just hearing the frightening details of the crime.

In the federal criminal complaint, 35-year-old Mario Chagolla, Jr. is accused of killing Dwayne Beauty on June 16 during a night of drinking.

In the presence of a couple other friends, Chagolla attacked Beauty, kicked him while he was on the ground, then was given duct tape and a knife.

The FBI says Chagolla stabbed the victim multiple times, then dismembered the body using a circular saw and burned parts of the body -- he even removed and burned the victim's teeth.

Investigators believe he also burned remains at his father's Camp Verde home when nobody was around.  Eventually, some family members got very suspicious and it was actually the suspect's own father who turned him in.

"This is a shock because this is a hometown.  We feel safe here," said Jan Hawk, who owns a local coffee shop.

"It is sad.  It is a very sad thing.  I feel sorry for the father and the victim's families."

The suspect's father is a well-known wrestling coach in town. He was seen in the local newspaper photo receiving a $5,000 community hero award.

"For him to have to step up and turn in his own son.. I can't imagine what that would be like. I have two sons of my own.  It would be very difficult. But it does speak very highly to the type of character that this gentleman has always demonstrated," said German.

According to the FBI, Chagolla blamed the victim for the death of a friend's girlfriend a few months ago.  During the murder, he was heard yelling at the victim about not messing with his friend's woman.

A judge ruled Chagolla will have to stay in jail until his trial.

One more disturbing element to this story: After the murder, the criminal complaint says the suspect went back out drinking with his friends.
