The girl sidelined by her school from playing football got a warm welcome from Atlanta's professional football team

Strong Rock Christian School in Locust Grove booted Maddy Paige from the squad saying that she shouldn't play on a boys' team. Her mother says that they let her play last year and should let her again this year.

Saturday night, the Atlanta Phoenix Women's Football Team hosted the 12 year old during their game against the Miami Fury. They gave her a special halftime gift and treated her to the game.

The family has started a Facebook page titled "Let Her Play" to show support for Maddy.

The school was not available for comment.

The Phoenix went on to win the game they dedicated to Maddy 28-24.
