TEMPE, Ariz. -

Phoenix Police and federal agents raided a porn business Thursday night. And detectives say they were doing much more than just making dirty movies. They were allegedly running a house of prostitution.

Officers served a search warrant on a building near 40th Street and University Thursday on a business called "New Media Studio."

The business had been in operation for the past year, and through undercover operations, police obtained evidence it was prostituting women.

"This is a culmination of what has been a 6-month investigation into this particular business," said Phoenix Police Sgt. Steve Martos. "It is my understanding that individuals would come here. They would select a female, and this business would charge them $140 for a half hour, and they would receive either still photographs or a video."

The business advertised its services online.

"What they were advertising was pretty open... which obviously caught the attention of investigators."

Seven people were booked on prostitution-related charges.

The suspects are business owner and operator, 52-year-old William Hartwell, 20-year-old Shelby Dunn, 23-year-old Tammie Torres, 22-year-old Adrianna Aguirre, 20-year-old Danielle Bell,  25-year-old Amber Mackenzie and 24-year-old Michelle Marchetti.

The investigation is ongoing.
