CHESTER, Pa. -

Chester police are trying to figure out who caused a 2 vehicle crash that claimed the life of a 10 year old Chester boy. A memorial has already started on the corner of 9th street and Highland Avenue where a truck and a car collided.

Accident investigators are piecing together the incident. What eyewitnesses say is that a brown Chevy Monte Carlo vehicle was driving on Highland Avenue and a red utility truck was driving on 9th street when they collided at the intersection. The collision sent the truck onto the sidewalk, striking the 2 children. A third boy jumped out of the way just in time. He was uninjured.

According to eyewitness Shaun Willis,"The next thing you know there was a big crash and I seen the little boy right under the truck and everything so I jumped out the truck to try to get to him."

Willis says a nurse driving nearby tried to help but it was too late.

Police say the boy died a short time later at Crozier Chester Medical Center. 11-year-old Tyvaun Fryson was also hurt.

According to Fryson, "It hit me; I flew; I got cuts on my knee and I have a sprained knee."

Fresh from the emergency room Tyvaun described the crash and what he'll miss about his neighborhood buddy.

"He was the greatest kid that loved to joke around."

His mother, Tiesha Spriggs hopes this serves as a sobering reminder to drivers.

"All I am asking is that people slow down. Watch what they doing. You don't need to rush to go no where; there could have been move lives taken."
