2 Window Washers Rescued After Trapped On Scaffolding In NY

Posted: Updated:

Two window washers have been rescued from a skyscraper in New York City. It happened at the Hearst Building in Manhattan.

Police say the workers got trapped on the 45th floor Wednesday afternoon.

Rescue crews got them to safety by drilling an opening through the window panel and pulling them in one by one.

There's no word yet on what caused the malfunction in the scaffolding.

"I guess we gotta call home now," said the two workers after being rescued.
