CLAWSON, Mich. (WJBK) -

Don't be surprised if you see lemonade stands on streets around metro Detroit this weekend.

On Saturday, kids across town will participate in Lemonade Day Detroit, a free and annual educational initiative that teaches children how to start, own and operate a business through the simple and time-honored act of running a lemonade stand.

The concept is to save a little, spend a little and share a little.

Christopher Pandzich is one of those youngsters who is collecting money for the Spina Bifida Association. His dad has the disease, and Christopher wants to put part of his proceeds toward the cause.

You can find Christoper's lemonade stand at 1161 Shenandoah Dr. in Clawson (near 14 Mile and Crooks).
