Two men were arrested in connection to a string of over 12 forced-entry home burglaries since January.

Goodyear police say 24-year-old Augustine Bobby Ortega and 36-year-old Jimmy Guzman were arrested Tuesday morning after they were found barricaded inside a home near Van Buren and 16th Streets.

On Friday, Goodyear police pursued a truck fitting the description of the suspect believed to be involved in over a dozen home burglaries. Investigators called him the "door kick burglar."

The pursuit ended with a suspect running out of the truck near 16th Street and Portland. Officers searched through the night and found Thomas Carrasco, the registered owner of the vehicle. He was questioned and released.

Officers say Ortega was their main suspect as they continued their investigation. Four days later, he was found barricaded inside a Phoenix home.

Officers reportedly found several items suspected to be stolen from valley homes, including electronics, guns and victims' identifications, when they searched where Ortega was found hiding.

Ortega faces burglary charges and Guzman faces charges for both burglary and parole violations.
