Last week, two planes collided in mid-air and crashed into the desert northwest of the valley. Four people were killed. Tuesday, people came together to honor the victims killed in the crash.
So far, only two of the victims have been identified. They are 37-year-old Paul Brownell and 26-year-old Basil Onuferko, flight instructors for TransPac Aviation Academy.
"We never imagined how many people he's touched, the tributes that have come in the words, the prayers everywhere we looked, there are blessings that are carrying us along so we feel incredibly fortunate for that," said Maria Onuferko, Basil's mother.
Onuferko had just received his instructor's rating and was scheduled to take on his first student the morning after the crash.
Brownell leaves behind a wife and two sons. Family members described him as a stand-up guy and a devoted family man.
FOX 10's Anita Roman has more on how people are remembering Brownell and Onuferko.
