SOUTHFIELD, Mich. (WJBK) -

Gleaming stainless steel circa 1975 provides the once futuristic setting for Southfield's best-kept secret -- Anthony's Coney Cafe inside the IBM building at Nine Mile and Southfield Road.

"Coney Day is Wednesday. Probably almost everybody in the department comes down on Wednesday and has Coneys. So it's really good," said one patron.

"We do Coneys. We do gyros, pitas, the best grilled chicken in Southfield, I guarantee it," said Alberta, the proprietor.

The gyro and fries one of the best I've ever had, so it's a shame there is no signage out front.

Anthony's Coney Cafe is open weekdays from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
