Police seek suspects in Marietta pawn shop burglary

Posted: Updated:
MARIETTA, Ga. -

Police in Marietta are looking to identify four suspects in a pawn shop burglary.

According to the Marietta Police Department, four men smashed into the Red Dawn Gun and Pawn Shop on Cobb Parkway South early Friday to try and steal firearms.

One of the men broke the front door glass with a hammer, while another suspect was armed with a semi-automatic pistol, according to police.

Once inside, the suspects discovered that the guns weren't on display; the owner had locked the weapons away for safekeeping.

Authorities said that it appeared that the suspect didn't take anything from the store.

They fled northbound on Cobb Pkwy in what appeared to be a light colored full-size king cab pickup truck, similar to an F-150, according to authorities.

Anyone with information on the suspects is asked to call police at 770-794-6990.
