Inmate found dead at Mohave County jail identified
KINGMAN, Ariz. (AP) -- An inmate found dead in a Mohave County jail has been identified as a 28-year-Bullhead City man.
Mohave County sheriff's spokeswoman Trish Carter says Gilberto Alvarado Avila Jr. died Saturday after being discovered being unresponsive in the jail's medical unit.
Avila was later pronounced dead.
According to Carter, Avila was initially taken into custody by Bullhead City police and booked into the jail on 13 on misdemeanor charges of domestic violence assault, disorderly conduct and criminal damage.
