PHILADELPHIA -

There's an update to the story of a burglar breaking into homes in Philadelphia through the mail slot.

Police said Friday night that they have made an arrest.

The suspect is 21-year-old Jeaream Newman, of South Philadelphia. He is charged with five separate burglaries.

Police say they tracked Newman down when he accidentally left his cell phone in a victim's house.

He is accused of breaking into the homes through a mail slot in the middle of the door by unscrewing the plate, reaching in and unlocking the door.
