Study: Mom's value declines again

Posted: Updated:

A new study suggests that if moms are paid for what they do around the house and with the kids, they would be taking a pay cut.

The study on Insure.com says if mothers were paid for what they do – such as cooking, driving, taking care of the kids, their pay would be $59,862. That's down from $60,182 in 2012 and $61,436 in 2011.

It also found that mother's favorite jobs include cooking, shopping for the family, and planning summer activities. And would mom's do after spending time with the family? They would visit museums, exercise, go to work and garden.

You've been hearing about it for a long time now – the advent of the self-driving car – and while it seems too like science fiction, the reality is that we are getting darn close.
