MYFOXNY.COM -

Miley Cyrus took to Twitter and her brand-new Instagram account to say she has been crowned the hottest woman in the world in Maxim magazine's eyes.

But is she really?

"Didn't know this was coming out yet! I'm so happy to be #1 on Maxims HOT 100!" she tweeted Friday night and included a photo of herself from the magazine spread.

Then Saturday, she posted the same image on Instagram: "My 1st Instagram is dedicated to all my fans [heart] thank you for crowning me #1 Maxim Hot 100."

Maxim did not confirm Miley's placement. In fact, Maxim.com posted an item with the headline: "Is Miley Cyrus Maxim's Hot 100 #1?"

The article says the answer will come Thursday when its full Hot 100 list is revealed.

So far, Maxim has revealed a handful of names from the list: actress Ashley Benson (no. 82), actress Jessica Chastain (no. 72), California Attorney General Kamala Harris (no. 54), actress Olivia Munn (no. 28), and others.

If you've never been, the annual convention for comic book fans known as Comic Con can be quite an eyeful. Women and men often even dress up as their favorite comic book character. Some of those costumes especially among the women can be revealing and proactive. Some women formed a group called Geeks for Consent. They have collected more than 2,500 signatures on a petition demanding that Comic Con organizers adopt a zero-tolerance policy against sexual harassment.

You've got a few more weeks to enjoy SummerStage, New York's annual performing arts showcase that's 28 years running. But it's not just music: there is dance, comedy, theater, you name it. There are several shows weekly at 14 different parks throughout the five boroughs. A recent show at Rumsey Playfield in Central Park paid tribute to Pete Seeger. Most of the shows are free and are funded by tickets purchased for the some of the bigger acts.
