PLYMOUTH, Mich. (WJBK) -

Fix your swing?  How about fix the swinger?  That is the goal at Fox Hills with a brand new program called Omni Kinetics, the first of its kind in Michigan.

"Omni Kinetics, first and foremost, is a complete health and wellness solution for you.  We have the only true team approach from A to Z," said certified athletic trainer Graham Polakoff.

Core work is the key, and Omni Kinetics hits all the trouble spots.  Golf is about speed and timing, and we're told this program will produce results that can make it easier to benefit from a golf instructor.

Fox Hills teaching pro Brian Cairns loves the program because it's tailored, not a one size fits all mentality.

"Every student I ever see has a different handicap in their swing, and it's up to me to address their golf swings and their mechanics, but physical limitations definitely make my job harder," Cairns said.  "Having Graham here, it really opens a lot of doors.  And plus the physical and the fit end of it is part of being an athlete, and we promote athletes here at Fox Hills."

"Can that person get there without hurting themselves or can they get there efficiently?  And so we find out if they're moving well and okay this is why.  So now when you get back to that golf pro with your clubs, now you're focused on your target and your alignment and your grip, and you don't have to focus on trying to get your shoulder into a weird position that you're struggling because the golf pro's sitting there twisting you around," Polakoff said.

The Omni Kinetics program is a product of the Titleist Performance Institute.  For more information, visit www.foxhills.com.
