Girl found dead in the Bronx

NEW YORK (MYFOXNY) -

Police responding to a 911 call in the Grand Concourse section of the Bronx found a 10-year-old girl dead, said police.

Hiwa Cisse of 1299 Grand Concourse was found unconscious at about 11 p.m. on Sunday.

She was rushed to Bronx Lebanon Hospital where she was pronounced dead.

The girl's death is under investigation.

    New York Mayor Bill de Blasio has postponed his much-discussed family vacation to Italy by a day. Mayoral press secretary Phil Walzak said de Blasio moved the nine-day trip's departure date from Friday to Saturday "to attend to city business."     New York City says it is fixing up the exterior of the Castle Hill public housing development in the Bronx, but one resident showed Fox 5 that more help is needed on the inside. Gwendolyn Peeks, a retired health care worker on disability, peeled off the contact paper to show us the damaged wall. She tried to cover up the peeling plaster and paint to protect the youngest family member, Aidan, who is 21 months old.
