Motorcyclists participate in firefighter charity ride during Arizona Bike Week

APACHE JUNCTION, Ariz. -

Motorcyclists began a 233-mile charity ride with a three-alarm pancake breakfast on Friday morning.

The 10th Annual Firefighter Poker Run began at the Superstition Harley-Davidson with a pancake breakfast cooked by local firefighters.

Riders will travel through southeastern Arizona and eventually end at the Cactus Moon Sports Grill in Mesa.

The East Valley Firefighter Charities hosted the event to raise money for the 100 Club of Arizona and Boots for Our Troops Foundation.

The group is made up of firefighters from Mesa, Gilbert, Fort McDowell, Apache Junction, Florence, and Salt River who believe they can make a difference in their communities.
