Atlanta police are preparing to welcome a mobile memorial to Georgia law enforcement officers who have died in the line of duty.
The Georgia Law Enforcement Memorial Wall Tour will stop in front of Public Safety Headquarters in Atlanta on Thursday at 11 a.m. The 28-foot "moving wall" is pulled by a pickup truck and is escorted by more than 10 motorcycles.
The memorial features the names of the fallen officers. Family members of the three Atlanta officers who died in the line of duty last year are set to be on hand to unveil the names of their loved ones.
Chief George Turner plans to speak on behalf of the department.
The tour aims to raise awareness for the 22nd Annual Georgia Police Memorial Ride on April 26-27.
