PEORIA, Ariz. -

She's not old enough to take the ACT, but one valley 8th grader will probably ace it when she does. This 14-year old earned a perfect score on the EXPLORE test.

It's kind of like a practice ACT, and only a handful of Arizona students earned a perfect score this year.

Tory Marbois is the pride of Copperwood Elementary in Peoria, but she's not bragging. Even though she excels in just about everything, from sports to school.

"I guess I just make time, I really enjoy it so I make the time to do it because I really like it," says Tory.

Tory aced the EXPLORE test with English, math, reading and science questions. She is one of 38 students in Arizona with a perfect score, and the only in her school.

"Funny thing about that my sister, she got a 22 on her test, I got a 25. She almost got perfect. She pushes me to do my best."

Her twin sister Allie keeps her competitive in school and in sports. They sit right next to each other in school. She has two brothers who challenge her too.

"I do have siblings and you know, I credit who I am today to them."

Tory is busy also being an athlete. She's on the basketball, volleyball and softball teams. Still, she manages to keep a 4.0 in all of her classes.

Her father Tom is proud, but says, "She's a regular kid around the house and she has chores."

Her advice for taking a test? Take your time and pay attention in class.

Tory isn't sure what she wants to do when she graduates from college, but there's a good chance she will pursue a career in a math-based field.
