Dolphins spotted in Hudson River

Posted: Updated:
NEW YORK (MYFOXNY) -

It was like Seaworld in New York on Monday: it was such a nice day even dolphins came out. Several dolphins were spotted in the Hudson River near Inwood.

Jose Garcia, a fisherman, got a close enough to hear them squeak at 6 a.m. He said the dolphins were black and white. He said he saw them twice near Inwood Hill Park before they headed towards the George Washington Bridge.

The anglers were chasing striped bass, and the dolphins seemed in pursuit too.

With so many dolphin sightings, some are wondering if the waters here are as polluted as once thought. Indeed, is a dolphin spotting even a reason to "flip out" anymore?

Aquatic wildlife in the urban jungle still seems to amaze New Yorkers.
