Police are warning Montgomery County residents to be on the lookout for vehicles connected to two recent child-luring attempts.
The first incident happened at the Wawa on Route 663 at Swamp Pike in New Hanover. Police say that two men in a beat-up, dark brown minivan, possibly from the 1980s, approached a 13-year-old girl and tried to get her to enter the vehicle. Police are asking that anyone who sees the van call 911.
The second, similar, incident occurred in Pottstown, on Donald Drive near Buchert Road. There, police say, an older, rusty, gray or white pick-up truck with tinted windows, a cap on the bed and a blue light on the top of the cab drove up to three girls.
From inside the vehicle, someone told the girls, "Don't move. Don't even run away. Get in the car."
The girls were able to get away and were not harmed.
Anyone with information on these incidents is asked to call police.
