Last week, the Arizona Environmental Services Department reported Maricopa County's first mosquito sample to test positive for West Nile virus this year.

The county began fogging for mosquitoes on March 24, overnight from midnight to 5am.  Workers fogged from Northern to Glendale and from 51st Avenue to 43rd Avenue.

On Sunday, mosquito spraying took place in Gilbert, Mesa and Scottsdale.
