The Hot Spots For 'Missed Connections'

Posted: Updated:

If you're like Usher looking for love in the club, or busy wining and dining at a classy restaurant, your cupid compass may have it all wrong.

According to Psychology Today--convenience stores--- places like, Wawa are the hot spot for missed connections in Pennsylvania.

In New York, it's the subway.

" I wish I would have taken the opportunity  to tell you  how lovely you looked."

Reading from his  post  online, Lucas Darway told us about the day last week he spotted a vision in red as he walked out the UPS Store in Wayne.

And Kevin told us that after a nice conversation with a woman in the service area of a Honda dealership in Ardmore, he wrote his number on the back of his card fear of embarrassment paralyzed him.

"I choked when the time came around, " Kevin laughed. I  didn't make a move."

Hoping to heal their yearning hearts, the two modern day Romeos took their real life dilemmas online to Craigslist.

"There's nothing else I  could do," explained Kevin. "I  wasn't going to  call the dealer and say who has a  CRV. There was no other option. That's the thing about Missed Connections it's your last chance."

Sparks flying between two people without swapping numbers is such a common phenomenon, Craigslist created a "Missed Connections" section.

We talked to Paul Brunson, a relationship expert and matchmaker about the phenomenon.

He says everyone experiences rejection. So instead of letting your potential love runaway...Carpe diem, don't post  about a missed opportunity online.

"Chances are that person is not going to read it so you have to seize the moment just like in business  or sports. It's the  same thing you apply to romance.
