A man whose car was towed by mistake says he has received a refund from the towing company.
PHILADELPHIA -
FOX 29 got results for a pizza shop customer whose car was towed away while he was enjoying an extra-large pie.
Denis Schmitt's 2010 Honda Civic was hauled away from the parking lot outside Plaza Pizza at 3rd and Spring Garden Saturday night.
Lew Blum towing charged Schmitt $205, claiming the parking lot is for customers only.
But Schmitt showed reporter Bruce Gordon receipts from the pizzeria that proved he was buying a pie moments before, and another moments after his car was towed.
Bruce went to bat for him and Lew Blum agreed to refund the towing charge.
A very happy Schmitt tells FOX 29 his $205 was refunded.
