Thomas Schultz and his partner were looking to purchase a home in Bellport, Long Island, and flip it for profit.

Little did they know that the artwork in the small cottage would eventually be appraised for $30 million.

The artwork, which was in the attic, was by a then-obscure artist named Arthur Pinajian.

He had left instructions to throw out the art after his death.

Pinajian was an Armenian-American abstract expressionist and figurative painter who died in 1999 at the age of 85.
