Bob Sirott`s One More Thing from the viewer mailbag

One more thing, from the viewer mailbag; the snail mailbag to be exact.

It's nice to get an actual old-fashioned letter these days and everyone in our newsroom who saw this letter, written on notebook paper, thought this one deserved to be on the news.

Young Cassidy Dungan of Gurnee writes:

"I feel that you guys put on too many sad, depressing things on your show. Why don't you put something happy on your show?

For instance, my school had a bake sale and we sold out. The brownies, cookies, muffins--everything. We're putting all the proceeds to plant a tree on our school ground, and the rest go to save-a-pet. That's a good thing. With no murders, robberies or anything. And I think it's pretty interesting. Put something nice on."

Okay, Cassidy. You're right and we think it's pretty interesting too--and nice---for a change.
