We're cooking vegetable stew -- but in an unconventional way by using solar ovens.
Vegetable Stew:
1 lb stew meat
2 cups frozen green beans
1 can diced tomatoes
16 oz tomato sauce
½ onion, chopped
1½ tsp chicken bouillon
1 lb carrots, sliced
5 medium potatoes, peeled & cubed
¼ cup all purpose flour
1 tsp salt
dash black pepper
In a 5 qt crock-pot liner mix together flour, salt and pepper. Place stew meat in the crock-pot and stir to coat with flour. Add remaining ingredients. Add just enough water to cover vegetables. Cover with glass lid. Place crock-pot in All American Sun Oven. Focus Sun Oven. Refocus Oven once every hour for about 5-6 hours. Pierce vegetables with a fork to test for tenderness.
