PHOENIX -
Valentine's Day is one of the busiest days of the year for jewelry stores and that's when an armed robber chose to hit a jewelry shop at Desert Sky Mall.
That robber still hasn't been caught and police have released detailed video of the suspect in action.
"This is so brazen on so many levels. This occurred on Valentine's Day at a jewelry store, might as well have been a flower shop," said St. Darren Burch, with Silent Witness.
But police say this Valentine's robber may have had help from a man who pretended to be a customer, stepped outside and made a phone call before the robbery began.
"He immediately begins breaking the display cases to the jewelry store and grabbing jewelry," said Burch.
When a female employee began screaming, a man who worked at the store attacked the armed robber.
"He literally jumps and kicks the suspect. The suspect stumbles, loses his gun on the floor, but retains the jewelry. Then after regaining his composure, runs out of the store," said Burch.
The employee even grabbed the robber's gun and shot at him several times.
"When this altercation is occurring between the suspect and male employee, witnesses saw the white male with the hoodie act like he was gonna go back in the store to help out, then when it goes south he puts his hoody over his face and walks away," said Burch.
In addition to the suspect and the person of interest, someone was waiting outside in a getaway car that the robber took off in.
"We're very lucky that no one was hurt; no employees were hurt severely, no innocent bystanders in the mall," said Burch.
Police are looking for a black male in his early twenties about 6" tall with a thin build and a white man in his early 20's about 5'8" with a thin build.
