Armed robber gets away with cash from Homewood 7-Eleven

HOMEWOOD, Ill. (Sun-Times Media Wire) -
An armed robber escaped with an undisclosed amount of cash from a 7-Eleven store at 3:30 a.m. Sunday in south suburban Homewood, according to police.
A male described as being in his late teens or early 20s displayed a handgun to a store clerk and took cash from the store at 3154 W. 183rd St., before fleeing on foot, Deputy Chief Denise McGrath said.
