The 14-year-old and 10-year-old daughters of a Fishtown man are recovering after they were injured in two separate hit-and-runs that happened in just a three day span.
Jim Givens told FOX 29's Dave Kinchen he was crushed by the incidents.
"What can I think? I'm just crushed it's my daughter, you know what I mean?" Givens said.
Givens says Kylee, his 14-year-old, remains hospitalized with a ruptured spleen and two broken ribs after she was struck by a vehicle that kept on going in the city's Tacony section Saturday night.
According to police, Kylee was struck in the area of Cheltenham Avenue and Torresdale. Police say the vehicle stopped a block from the crash, but then took off before officers could get there. Investigators describe the car as a white four-door vehicle that was driven by a Hispanic man.
"She's laying in the hospital bed - she's got tubes coming out of her neck, out of her arm, out of her nose," he said.
Givens is also keeping a close eye on his other daughter, 10-year-old Sarah, who was hurt in a separate hit-and-run just days earlier.
Sarah manages to walk with the help of crutches after her leg was broken. She now has to get around in a full leg cast. Police say Sarah was crossing Memphis Street when a white GMC SUV with white rims hit her.
"It was hard because it was me that got hit and then a couple days later, my sister got hit by a car," Sarah told FOX 29.
