Weekend subway track work continues

NEW YORK (MYFOXNY) -

Weekend subway work will continue for straphangers around the city.

The MTA says you should leave yourself extra time if you are taking the subway as 17 lines will be affected.

The disruptions are necessary to upgrade and provide maintenance to the system, according to the MTA. Among the affected, the No. 7 train -- which has had service changes every weekend since the end of December.

There will be no service between Times Square and Queensboro Plaza because of new signals being installed.

For more information, visit the MTA's website.
