CASA GRANDE, Ariz. -
A Department of Public Safety officer has been involved in a terrible crash in Casa Grande, near Pinal and Hopi Drive.
Officers say a driver failed to yield and collided with a DPS patrol car. The driver's truck then flipped.
The DPS officer was airlifted to St. Joseph's Hospital in Phoenix with serious, but non life-threatening injuries. The driver who caused the crash suffered less serious injuries, and was cited for failure to yield.
Investigators say neither drugs nor alcohol played a role in the crash.
