1 dead, 1 injured in Brooklyn car crash

NEW YORK (MYFOXNY) -

Police say one man is dead and a woman was injured when their car hit a stanchion and crashed in Brooklyn early Sunday morning. 

Authorities say a 2009 Black Infinity sedan was traveling westbound on Atlantic Avenue at Kingston Avenue after midnight when 38-year-old Kenneth Dalrymple of Tobyhanna, Pennsylvania accidentally struck a stanchion at the location. 

Dalrymple was taken by EMS to Interfaith Hospital where he was pronounced dead.  

A 26-year-old female passenger was taken to Kings County Hospital where she is listed in stable condition.   

Police are still investigating the incident.
