PHOENIX -
Five people were injured after a golf cart rolled over in a tunnel at Phoenix International Raceway on Saturday. NASCAR driver Kurt Busch tweeted his mother was among those injured.
Maricopa County Sheriff's deputies say the golf cart had too many people on it, causing it to roll over.
Busch took to Twitter and said, "Don't get in any moving vehicle w/ my mom. She was involved in a crash in the tunnel b4 the end of the race. A little banged up."
He later said, "Thanks for all of the genuine nice thoughts & prayers for my mom. She will be ok, just a little banged up."
The tunnel is underneath the track and is used by race crews and fans to get to the track and infield.
MCSO says no one was significantly injured in the crash.
