CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -

Wondering where to watch costumed Chicagoans race tricked-out grocery carts full of donations to the Chicago Food Depository?

Time Out Chicago's Marissa Conrad tells you, along with the scoop on a Top Chef cookbook signing, a concert you don't want to miss and the perfect cupcakes to help you cheer on the Bulls.

Saturday-Sunday

Magnolia Bakery's Chicago Bulls Cupcakes The Bulls face off against the Nets on Saturday and the Pacers on Sunday. Cheer them on with the help of something sweet—Magnolia Bakery is making cupcakes topped with the Bulls logo. The store opens at 8am both days. $3.25 each. 108 N State St (312-346-7777, magnoliabakery.com).

Friday

Top Chef Book Signing Top Chef Richard Blais has a cookbook out, and it's full of wacky stuff like French toast—on a stick! Also: pizza—on English muffins! We're not making this up, so if you've got questions, bring them to the man himself: He'll sign books today at Foodease. 835 N Michigan Ave (773-891-7072). 5–7pm; free.

Saturday

Chiditarod The mobile food drive–meets–bash and race goes down in West Town. Teams of five people (four pullers and one musher), all decked out in clever and wacky costumes, race carts of food around the West Side neighborhoods. Donations go to the Greater Chicago Food Depository. Monetary contributions are given to a local charitable entity. Starting line at Wolcott Ave and Hubbard St (chiditarod.org). 12:30pm; spectators free.

Saturday

High Street at Double Door The lead guitarist of this blues-rock group is only 13, and no band member is over 16, but the precocious quintet has already played the Hard Rock, Subterranean and Beat Kitchen. Catch these stars on the rise at Double Door. 1572 N Milwaukee Ave (highstreetrocks.com). 8pm; $8.
