Police seek suspect in sex abuse of 10-year-old girl

CHICAGO (Sun-Times Media Wire) -
Police are searching for a man who sexually abused a girl walking home Thursday on the Northwest Side.
The 10-year-old girl was walking about 6:20 p.m. in the 4900 block of North Troy Street when a male suspect followed her and fondled her buttocks with his hand, according to an alert issued by Chicago Police. The girl screamed and the suspect fled northbound on Troy Street.
Police describe the suspect as between 20 and 35 years old, 5-foot-6 to 5-foot-9, 160 to 200 pounds, and clean shaven. He was wearing a white, zippered sweatshirt with black stripes and grey pants.
Police are asking residents to call 911 to report any suspicious people, vehicles or activity.
