Video shows girls being encouraged to fight

Posted: Updated:
NEW YORK (MYFOXNY) -

Even in this dark, twisted age of disturbing Internet videos almost no one is prepared to see two young girls, barely tall enough for an amusement park ride, squaring off to brawl and encouraged to beat each other up.

It's unclear who is egging the two young girls on, but one thing is for sure: those cheering are much older, possibly siblings or, even worse, the girls' parents.

Just as disturbing as the video itself, you can hear laughter from those watching the violent matchup.

You also see someone older using a cell phone to capture all the action. That is likely how this sickening video ended up on the web for the world to see in the first place.

The NYPD said cops are investigating the incident and looking at the video thoroughly. Police know it happened in New York City but they don't know exactly where.
